Collecting Google reviews with a QR code.

Most happy customers never leave a review - not because they do not want to, but because finding the review page takes too many steps. A QR code gets them there in one scan.

Google reviews help businesses in Bahrain get found and build trust with new customers. But most businesses find it hard to collect them - not because customers are unhappy, but because asking for a review feels awkward and the process of actually leaving one is more steps than most people will go through on their own.

A QR code that links directly to your Google review page removes most of those steps. The customer scans it, they are already on your review page, and they just need to tap the stars and type a few words. That is the difference between a review that happens and one that does not.

Section 01Why customers skip leaving reviews

The most common reason is that it takes too long to find the right page. Customers who want to leave a review have to search for the business on Google, find the correct listing, click the reviews section, then write something. That is five steps for someone who was happy to leave a quick note but not willing to spend two minutes finding where to put it.

Another reason is timing. A customer who had a great experience at your salon thinks to themselves "I should leave a review" and then forgets by the time they get home. The moment of goodwill passes and the review never happens.

Section 02How a QR code helps

A review QR code links directly to your Google review form - the page where customers just click the stars and write. When they scan it, they are already there. No searching, no clicking through your business profile.

The timing advantage matters too. If the QR code is at your counter or on the receipt, the customer can scan it right after their service while they are still in the moment. That is when they are most likely to actually do it.

The simplest version

A small card at your counter that says "Enjoyed your visit? Leave us a review" with a QR code. Customers scan it and they are straight on your Google review page. Nothing else needed.

Section 03Where to put it

At the counter or checkout area is the most effective place - right where the customer is finishing their purchase or service. It is visible and the timing is right.

On receipts or packaging - a small printed QR code at the bottom of a receipt or on a takeaway bag reaches customers after they have left, when they are home and might have a moment to sit and write something.

On a follow-up WhatsApp message - if you send customers a message after their service to check how everything went, include your review QR code image in the same message. Customers who reply positively are already in the right mindset to leave a review.

In the waiting area - for clinics, salons, and service businesses with a waiting area, a sign with the QR code gives people something to do while they wait.
